Job Description
ImpactAs a Software Engineer II, you will be an early to mid-career contributor responsible for the research, design, development, analysis, testing, and implementation of software operating and application systems. You will collaborate with stakeholders, contribute to the success of software engineering initiatives, and help deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support organizational goals.
- Serve as a contributing member of the software engineering team within your assigned area of responsibility.
- Maintain accountability for quality, delivery, and project outcomes, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and within scope.
- Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
- Participate in knowledge-sharing activities and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the engineering team.
- Support rapid identification and resolution of system issues to minimize service disruptions.
- Develop technical requirements, documentation, and implementation plans that can be utilized by other engineers and stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, risks, and significant issues to management, project teams, and clients while maintaining strong working relationships.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience and a proven track record in developing web-based applications and web services using Java, REST, and other web technologies.
- 2 years of experience with software development utilizing Java (Spring, Apex) and JavaScript (Node.js, React, Angular).
- Experience interfacing with databases and integrating third-party products with existing infrastructure.
- Understanding of software development processes, including planning, measurement, coding, testing, reuse, tools, abstraction, algorithms and complexity, security, and system design principles.
- Ability to create software designs that satisfy functional and non-functional requirements using appropriate design patterns, system decomposition, security, and fault-tolerance techniques.
- Strong communication, collaboration, problem-solving, and risk-identification skills.
- Experience with IntelliJ, VS Code, JIRA, and Git.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Experience with cloud-native development and/or porting or refactoring on-premises applications to cloud environments, preferably AWS.
Position & Application Details
