The Commerce Edge Engineering team builds and operates scalable, cloud-native services that power global commerce experiences. WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are hiring a Software Engineer to contribute to backend and platform services supporting global commerce systems. This is an early-career role ideal for engineers who are passionate about building scalable systems and growing their expertise in cloud-native development. The ideal candidate brings a strong learning mindset, foundational backend engineering skills, and an interest in distributed systems and cloud platforms.
Key Qualification:- 2-5 years of software development experience (internships or academic projects acceptable)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Experience with at least one programming language (Scala, Python, Go, Java, etc.)
- Exposure to AWS cloud services and cloud-native development concepts (required)
- Understanding of software development fundamentals including testing, debugging, and version control
- Familiarity with distributed systems, APIs, or microservices architecture
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively
Preferred Skills:- Polyglot programming experience (Scala, Akka/Pekko, Go, Python)
- Hands-on experience with AWS services
- Familiarity with containerization and DevOps practices (Docker, CI/CD pipelines)
- Exposure to event-driven or actor-based architectures
- Experience using modern developer tools such as GitHub Copilot or Cursor
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ONYou will contribute to the development and operation of scalable backend systems that enable global commerce capabilities. This includes building reliable services, supporting production systems, and improving platform performance and resiliency.
