As a Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in this initiative, dedicated to delivering an outstanding banking experience to our customers. Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with development teams to enhance the developer experience, providing tools and infrastructure that support agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment.
- Identify problems, propose solutions, and execute software design, development, operations, and technical troubleshooting.
- Develop secure, high-quality full stack production code, and review and debug code.
- Support the products you build through the full lifecycle, including production support and incident management.
- Collaborate with teams to understand the functional requirements of existing complex business applications.
- Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity, while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
- Contribute to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Practical knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, including system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Ability to develop, debug, and maintain code using modern programming languages and database querying languages.
- Good understanding of Java 17+ fundamentals, concurrency, memory management, and object-oriented programming paradigms with hands-on experience with Spring and server-side frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot) and good API design skills.
- Best understanding of DevOps practices and framework
- Knowledge of integration technologies such as REST APIs.
- Experience with Public Cloud services in Production (we use AWS).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or other).
- Experience in architecting, supporting, and implementing CICD migrations.
- Preferrable to have experience with front end languages and frameworks such as TypeScript and React.
- Practical cloud native experience preferably on AWS
- Solid understanding of agile practices, including continuous integration and delivery, application resiliency, and security.
- Understanding of responsible engineering practice, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Familiarity with modern back-end technologies particularly with Enterprise Java and Spring boot framework
- Knowledge of UX design concepts such as responsive web design.
- Understanding of microservices architecture, Debugging expertise in Kubernetes
