Your Team's Impact
Join FactSet’s Symbology team, where we build and maintain low-latency, high-throughput systems that power essential financial data solutions. Our infrastructure handles vast volumes of low latency resolutions, and we rely on solid engineering practices and modern C++ to ensure reliability, consistency, and speed.
As a key member of our collaborative team, you’ll work on scalable architecture and efficient pipelines, participating in projects that have a direct impact on how financial data is processed, integrated, and served to clients worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize C++ applications supporting large-scale symbology data processing and integrations.
- Collaborate with teammates in code/design reviews, learning and sharing best practices.
- Contribute to the troubleshooting and continuous improvement of production systems, including on-call support.
- Participate in architecture discussions, helping shape solutions for high-volume and low-latency requirements.
- Grow your technical skillset as you gain deep familiarity with FactSet’s financial data products.
Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience programming in C++, with a good understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Experience working with distributed or scalable systems (coursework, projects, or professional).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication for collaborating in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting.
Desired Skills
- Experience with additional programming languages.
- Exposure to CI/CD workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins) or automation tools.
- Knowledge of infrastructure management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Understanding of financial data concepts or symbology (helpful, not required).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
