Position

We are looking for a strong, experienced backend engineer who loves technology, can take ownership of the projects, is able to design and implement solutions to complex problems, feels proud of their craft, and is excited to be part of a team re-shaping the definition of corporate banking applications. You would be joining a team of Senior Platform developers who help build FISPAN’s core platform.

Main Responsibilities

• Design and implement enhancements to the core services in languages like Java 21, Kotlin, Javascript, keeping in mind high throughput, concurrency, performance, and KPIs.
• Expertise in creating Restful APIs using backend frameworks like Spring-boot (Java / Kotlin), and Spring Data (ORM)
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL data types and definitions
• Deliver features ready for distributed environments using micro-services architecture and messaging queues (e.g., RabbitMQ)
• Good understanding of containerization of workloads via Docker and their orchestration via Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools
• Knowledge of design patterns and principles and industry best practices/standards
• Maintaining FISPAN’s core developer platform while maintaining a great developer experience by enabling scalability and reliability.
• Previous experience with Fintechs and accounting / ERP systems is a great asset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience (5+ years) as a Backend Developer in Java (or Kotlin)
• Strong Knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, and related technologies.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies
• Experience with RESTful API Design and Microservices Architecture.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Good understanding of SDLC processes and Modern Cloud Infrastructure(AWS/Azure)
• Passionate about Technology and readiness to adapt, and learn new technologies.

Compensation Package  

FISPAN believes in an atmosphere and culture when innovation can flourish, collaboration and teamwork are valued and transparency is at the core of it all. We want our employees to see how the ideas they help generate today have an impact on how we do business tomorrow.With that, the hiring salary range for this position is $98,000-$115,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on comparable market data from companies of similar employee size, revenue and location. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive semi-annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
