The Team
We are seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join our Software Quality Engineering Organization. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining automation frameworks and providing test support for Five9 software releases.
This position is based at one of our affiliate offices, Acqueon Technologies in India, and follows the hybrid work arrangements of that location. You will be part of the Acqueon team while supporting Five9 products, working closely with global colleagues, primarily in the United States.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute automated tests for Five9 products using a Python-based automation framework.
Create new test scripts for comprehensive, end-to-end product validation.
Analyze test results using framework logs, product logs, and monitoring tools.
Enhance and extend existing automation frameworks.
Develop new automation utilities and tools.
Identify inefficiencies in automated processes, propose improvements, and track progress.
Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and TechOps teams to ensure alignment of testing goals.
Actively participate in Agile ceremonies (standups, sprint planning, PI planning) to drive automation innovation and framework improvements.
Strong hands-on experience with Python 3.x and/or Java.
Solid understanding of programming concepts and algorithms (OOP, multithreading).
Proficiency with Linux-based operating systems.
Experience in REST API automation and/or SDK interfaces (Java, Python, C++, etc.).
Background in test automation for cloud computing (private or public).
Familiarity with Docker and containerized approaches.
Experience in Web UI Automation using tools like Selenium.
Knowledge of network troubleshooting (OSI model, real-time protocols, network management protocols).
Minimum 3+ years of experience in automation roles.
Strong understanding of software development processes and testing methodologies.
Proficiency with version control and bug-tracking systems (Git, JIRA, etc.).
Excellent team player with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Knowledge of VoIP, SIP, WebRTC architecture, and microservice-based web technologies.
Proactive in identifying and exploring new automation opportunities.
Practical experience with MySQL.
Experience with AWS/GCP automation frameworks for CI/CD pipelines.
Hands-on exposure to Asterisk or FreeSwitch PBX.
