As an Infrastructure and Development Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Commercial and Investment Banking team, you will design, build, and maintain robust AI/ML infrastructure. You will leverage AWS, Terraform, and Python to create secure and scalable environments for model deployment. Collaborating with internal teams, you will contribute to a culture of innovation and ensure our solutions align with the firm's technology strategy. Your work will help promote operational efficiency and support our commitment to excellence.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, engineer, and implement AI/ML infrastructure solutions using AWS, Terraform, and Python
- Ensure scalability, security, and operational efficiency in all infrastructure projects
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues and optimize performance
- Automate provisioning and management processes to enhance stability and reduce manual tasks
- Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate architectural designs and technical credentials
- Align solutions with existing systems and cloud architecture
- Contribute to a team culture that values opportunity and respect
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and expanding applied experience.
- Proficiency with AWS technologies, including EKS, S3, Database, and Lambda
- Hands-on experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code and automation
- Competence in Python programming
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to learn new technologies and processes
- Experience in infrastructure engineering, implementation, testing, and operational stability
- Familiarity with continuous delivery methods and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Proficiency in infrastructure applications and technical processes within cloud computing and automation
- Understanding of AI/ML model purposes and functions
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with business stakeholders
- Knowledge of financial services industry IT systems
- Degree-level education
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
- Experience supporting AI/ML model deployments in production environments
- Advanced knowledge of cloud security best practices
- Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and tools
- Experience working in large, matrixed organizations
- Exposure to regulatory requirements in financial services
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills
- Ability to mentor and support junior engineers
