The Opportunity

This position will aid in developing, testing, maintaining, and supporting secure, scalable, and robust applications. The ideal candidate will possess a basic to semi-complex understanding of technical issues, coding, and troubleshooting skills. This role entails collaborating on the development of enterprise solutions. The candidate for this position will need a hands-on knowledge of coding to standards, best practices, and how to apply them. The candidate will need to be able to modify existing code and create new medium complexity code, focus on learning and growing skills, and increased involvement in complex development tasks while beginning to work independently.

Day in the Life:

  • Work in a fast-paced agile/scrum environment in which the role, with limited assistance, would:

    • Develop basic to semi-complex code to maintain new and existing technology systems following company standards.

    • Accountable to develop and deliver technical documentation.

    • Undergo peer code and design reviews to ensure stable and high-quality production-ready code.

  • Build and maintain applications that meet or exceed industry regulatory requirements.

  • Foster and maintain high collaboration with team members, other technical colleagues, and business partners from across the organization.

  • Ensure compliance with established SDLC frameworks, including requirements gathering, analysis, design, development, testing, release management, and deployment.

  • Ensure compliance with all the audit and security requirements of the company.

  • Gradually take on more development tasks as learning increases.

  • Participate and follow established agile standards (including attending all Agile events) to create a collaborative and efficient development environment and meet project goals and delivery dates. 

  • Foster innovation to improve on existing challenges and to realize new opportunities.

  • Active involvement in complex projects.

  • Ability to travel as needed to perform position responsibilities.

  • Availability to be on-call as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, related technology field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • Three years professional work experience in .Net and/or Java software development required. One year of experience performing as a subject matter expert. Years of experience may be offset by having proficiency in one or more highly specialized technologies or skills. 

  • Thorough understanding of CI/CD pipelines and standard SDLC processes.

  • Experience with Azure DevOps (ADO) using work items, repos, build and deployment pipelines and test plans. Understanding of the use of variable groups and templates.

  • Knowledge of various DevOps tools such as SonarQube, Artifactory and the Atlassian stack helpful.

  • Experience in scripting languages such as Powershell and Bash.

  • Proficiency of computer engineering fundamentals in object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms.

  • Ability to modify existing code and write semi-complex scripts according to standards and best practices.

  • Proficiency in two or more modern programming languages.

  • Beginning contribution to technical specifications and detailed design.

  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of coding standards and apply them.

Pay Equity

$75,800.00 - $96,700.00

Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
