About the Role:
As an Software Engineer II (Backend), you’ll build 0-to-1 features for our AI-powered chatbot, creating step-by-step experiences that help customers resolve issues directly in chat using OpenAI and Claude. You’ll own a key part of the customer journey; handling orders, ticket substitutions, and refunds, impacting millions of users worldwide.

What You've Done
- Software Engineer with around 2 - 3.5 years of experience building production software, with a strong emphasis on backend development with at least one backend programming language (Java, Python, Golang)
- Experience owning services in production (monitoring, debugging, reliability)
- Solid understanding of APIs, service architecture, and data modeling
- Experience designing and operating scalable distributed systems
- Exposure to AI or Agentic Systems - familiarity with integrating AI-powered services, automation, or agent-like workflows, or strong interest in learning and applying these patterns.

The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies.
