- The Software Engineer I is responsible for Break down high-level objectives into specific software development tasks and follow through on their execution. Ownership to develop plan and deliver to meet schedule and quality expectation of product owner. Write code that is easy to understand and fits with existing patterns.
- Will be working on a Hybrid Model (Bangalore office)
In this role, a typical day will look like:
- Writing custom scripts for customer workflows
- Work on integration
- SQL Queries and execution
The essential requirements of the job include:
- Break down high-level objectives into specific software development tasks and follow through on their execution
- High level understating and reviewing of epics and user stories. Breaking down of user stories to development tasks and estimating those stories
- Create feasibility analysis and provide accurate effort estimates. Ownership to develop plan and deliver to meet schedule and quality expectation of product owner
- Write code that is easy to understand and fits with existing patterns
- Conduct peer code reviews and perform unit and integration testing
- Implement unit testing, documentation of API, integration testing, deployment approach, and maintain programming documentation which include commenting code and user guides
- Analyze, debug and solve complex technical issues and customer escalations
- Provide status updates, and produce high quality deliverables in a timely manner
- Stay current on software technology, concepts and tools, as well as related and competing products
- Assist the Senior Solution Architect in conducting evaluations, workshops, and designs of the Esko enterprise software implementations
- Implement and integrate software systems according to the specifications and best practices outlined by Esko Best Practice guidelines in alignment with the seniors.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise
- Document and maintain the procedures, processes, and designs of the solutions
- Stay current in learning modern technologies and tools to improve the solutions as they become available
- Ensure quality assurance and QMS compliance by following the standard operating procedures (SoPs), best practices, and UX guidelines
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Skills require to perform this role
- Engineering degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- 2 to 3 years of work experience
- Strong experience in Java and Javascript.
- Good working knowledge on API development.
- Hands on SQL Server.
