Software Engineer I

Honeywell is seeking a motivated and talented Software Engineer I to join our software development team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-connected applications and services using Microsoft technologies. You will work closely with senior engineers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality software solutions supporting Honeywell's digital transformation initiatives. 

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who is passionate about cloud technologies, API development, modern UI frameworks, and enterprise software solutions. 

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using C# and .NET/.NET Core 
• Develop and consume RESTful APIs and cloud-based services 
• Configure and support API Management platforms and API lifecycle processes 
• Design and optimize database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server 
• Build responsive and intuitive user interfaces using modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Blazor, or similar technologies 
• Participate in software design discussions, code reviews, and technical planning sessions 
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues 
• Collaborate with product management, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams 
• Develop and maintain technical documentation 
• Follow Honeywell software development, cybersecurity, and quality standards 
• Support CI/CD implementation and automated deployment pipelines 
• Stay current with emerging technologies and software development best practices 

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE 

• Minimum of 1 year of software development experience 
• Proficiency in C# and .NET/.NET Core 
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and relational database concepts 
• Understanding of REST APIs, web services, and API integration 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP 
• Understanding of object-oriented design principles and software development best practices 
• Knowledge of source control systems such as Git
