The Role You'll Play
- Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and QA teams to iterate on features that delight users and drive growth.
- Build and maintain backend systems and applications—working on tightly scoped projects with mentorship and support.
- Participate in thoughtful code reviews, retrospectives, and team discussions, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Embrace engineering best practices like automated testing, proper monitoring, and maintainable, high-quality code.
- Learn new technical areas quickly, taking increasing ownership of the team's codebase and project work.
- Seek out feedback proactively, using it to sharpen your skills and grow as an engineer.
- Approach every problem with a curious mindset and a drive to deliver solutions that make a real difference to our partners and users.
- Celebrate both big wins and small improvements as part of a connected, mission-driven team.
The Experience You Bring
- 0–2 years of engineering experience, particularly in building large-scale SaaS products.
- Hands-on experience with backend development using object-oriented languages like C# or Java.
- Familiarity with designing backend services and working within microservice architectures.
- Understanding of SQL and relational database systems.
- Exposure to monitoring tools like New Relic or Kibana, and a working knowledge of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and programming best practices.
- A keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a positive, growth-minded attitude.
- Enthusiasm for creating high-quality, performant systems—and excitement to learn new technologies like Kotlin, .NET, Python, React, or Ruby.
