About the Team:
 

This position is within Technology and DEPOSITS & SHARED SVCS, related to the Pega Platform to drive the development, and implementation of enterprise-scale workflow and possess strong hands-on experience with Pega and understand enterprise application architecture. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions while establishing technical standards and mentoring development teams.  Ability to Analyze, code, test, and implement in coordination with management, associates, and end users while following the Enterprise SDLC.

The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and will move at a rapid rate of execution while maintaining both the short- and long-term strategic view while collaborating with team members.
 

Impact

This position is within Technology and DEPOSITS & SHARED SVCS, related to the Pega Platform to drive the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale workflow. The ideal candidate must possess strong hands-on experience with Pega and understand enterprise application. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions while establishing technical standards and mentoring development teams.

Key Deliverables:

  • System Enhancement - Performs a variety of actions that evaluate and improve department systems, processes, and applications. Utilizes programming specifications to construct modules, develop testing methods, and design materials. Provides new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications.

  • Business Support - Provides technical support to production systems by addressing reported issues, anticipating maintenance requirements, and ensuring functionality for end user needs. Drafts documentation to be used for system, end user, and operational purposes, including technical specifications and application designs.

  • Technical Expertise - Responsible for involvement in the software development life cycle including the creation, enhancement, implementation, and evaluation of software. Serves as a technical resource for management, associates, and business units.

  • Provides 24/7 support during on-call rotations for critical Production issues

Skills and Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of experience in Software application development and maintenance

  • Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree

  • Preferred Area of Study: Computer Science

  • Pega Certified System Architect (CSA) certification

  • At least 3 years of experience in in depth hand’s on application development experience in Pega PRPC v6.x/v7.x and Pega banking/Insurance frameworks

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with Pega AI, including GenAI, Knowledge Buddy, Agentic AI, and AI-powered workflow capabilities.

  • Experience in Pega Infinity architecture, Case Management, Decisioning, and BPM.

  • Experience integrating Pega with enterprise applications using REST APIs, Kafka, JMS, SOAP, and microservices.

  • Strong knowledge of Java, JSP, J2EE, XML, and EJB 

  • Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AngularJS 

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to translate business requirements into technical solutions 

  • Ability to debug and develop rules like Data Transforms and declarative rules, class structures, and application frameworks within Pega

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Banking and Finance Industry

  • Experience with Okta; SQL Scripting.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or other information technology ticketing system

  • Ability to build strong collaborative and productive relationships

  • In-depth knowledge of System Life Cycle Development methodology (Waterfall and Agile)

  • Basic knowledge in Splunk

  • This individual will utilize effective communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate/resolve issues, opportunities, or problems to maximize the benefit of IT and Business needs.

  • The ideal candidate should have the necessary skills and experience to provide technical guidance, estimation of efforts, understanding and deciding upon the optimal technology solution to achieve the desired business needs, day to day application support, should be able to navigate differing levels of gray/unknowns, and have excellent communication skills with other IT management levels, individual contributors, and business stakeholders.  They must be able to move at a rapid rate of execution to deliver requests and take advantage of any opportunities as they present themselves and navigate through any resource constraints. They must have both the short- and long-term strategic view when deciding on the best technical approach.  They must be able to develop code and effectively oversee distributed development team members.
