Your Role:
Chewy is hiring a Software Engineer I, Front End for our Boston, MA office as part of our CarePlus Pet Insurance team. You will be working on improving customer experience by collaborating with UX designers, backend engineers and product managers to help pet parents learn about various insurance plans and purchase one giving them peace of mind for nose to tail care. Do you love pets and want to build intuitive web applications with modern front-end technologies? If so, we want to hear from you!

 

Responsibilities:

  • Use algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to produce efficient and performant code
  • Develop, extend, and debug code within the scope of their team's existing tools and services
  • Complete simple design and debug tasks
  • Tackle root causes of and solutions for bugs and production issues
  • Contribute to team's standard methodologies for logging, testing, instrumentation, metrics, monitors, alerts, practices, and processes
  • Participate in on-call rotations and operational excellence

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • Experience in ReactJS or similar frameworks.
  • Experience in crafting and integrating with RESTful APIs
  • Bachelor's degree (Computer Science or similar technical field of study preferred), or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

  • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms
  • Experience with Cypress, Playwright or similar automated testing tools
  • Experience developing CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins or similar tool
  • Experience in e-commerce
