Responsibilities:

Deliver high quality, re-usable and maintainable code, perform Unit / Integration Testing of assigned tasks within the agreed timelines.

Develop and enhance core and client systems functionality, including algorithms, plug-in modules, API and GUI.

Basic Troubleshooting and debugging of production issues.

Work in an agile team environment and collaborate with internal teams (e.g: Product, Quality Assurance) to ensure smooth product delivery.
Minimum Requirements:
-
3 to 5 years of programming experience with core java (preferably in the finance or electronic trading space)
Critical Skills:
-
Firm understanding of Java 8 core APIs (Java 11 a plus), including collections, multi-threading, XML, SWING(optional) and middleware technologies.

Hands-on design and implementation experience in high-volume, high-performance real-time trading systems.

Has repeatedly developed, tested and deployed high quality, stable changes with success and in a timely manner

Proven ability to adapt to changes in requirements and learn new tools and practices where needed
Additional Skill/Desired Skills:

Knowledge of financial equity or derivatives products, market data feeds, trade lifecycle and FIX.

Knowledge of Swing, JMS, J2EE.

Ability to communicate effectively with peers within the organization
Education:

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science
The budgeted salary range for this position in the states of California, Connecticut and New York is $130,000.00 – $145,000.00
