As a Graduate Software Engineer with Kainos, you will work on projects where you can make a real difference to people’s lives – the lives of people you know. You’ll have great support and mentoring, balanced with the experience of being given real, meaningful work to do, to help you truly develop both technically and professionally.
You will be:
· Developing high quality solutions which impact the lives of users worldwide.
· Working as part of a team to solve problems and produce innovative software solutions.
· Learning about new technologies and approaches, with talented colleagues who will help you learn, develop and grow.
· Working on project teams to learn how to develop and unit test straightforward or low complexity components, and then moving on to more complex elements as you increase your knowledge.
· Working with other developers on working through designs and user stories produce real development solutions.
· Fully supported by experienced colleagues in the team to follow designs, and then progress to assist in any other aspect of the project life-cycle under Supervision.
· Develop excellent technical, team-working and Agile project experience.
· The starting salary for this position is $62,000CAD plus benefits.
MINIMUM (ESSENTIAL) REQUIREMENTS:
· To be eligible, candidates should have completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field, such as, Computer Science or Software Engineering, or be in their final year of study. The degree should have been completed no more than two years before our start date of June 16th 2025.
· Ability to manage your time effectively and record it accurately.
· Some understanding of the software development lifecycle from your studies or relevant work experience, and the relevance of different tools at different stages of the development lifecycle
· Thriving on collaboration, we welcome candidates who can join us in person for this hybrid role at our vibrant Halifax office, where we're excited to provide hands-on support and foster an inclusive workplace culture.
