**Candidate Note: This position is 100% remote for candidates based in the US, and will be a 12 month contract position**
Job Summary
As a Full Stack Engineer you will be a member of the team and get the opportunity to work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.
What your impact will be:
- Developing practical, easy-to-use tooling and processes
- Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development, testing, and build systems
- Improving the performance and usability of existing tools and automated systems
- Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems
- Documenting and evangelizing tooling for use by engineers for the development, testing, and packaging of their products
What you will bring:
- 5+ years of experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and Packer
- 5+ years of experience with frontend development utilizing React
- Experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures
- Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment
- Experience developing, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills
What will give you an edge:
- Experience with Observability Systems
- Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes
- In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Experience working within a “you build it, you own it” culture
Compensation (DOE/Location): $60-80/hr. max
