Java Engineer
Join us as a Java Backend Engineer on our Software Engineering team in Bengaluru to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.
What You’ll Achieve:
As a Java Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for developing sophisticated backend systems and software based on customer business goals and needs. You will collaborate with product management, other engineering teams, customer success, and support to develop cutting-edge new product features and enhancements across various areas of our offerings.
You Will:
• Work with the team to build solutions, primarily using Java.
• Review peers' code to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
• Mentor junior members of the team, providing guidance and support in their development.
• Provide application support on an as-needed basis to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation.
• Participate in team activities such as sprint planning and retrospectives to enhance collaboration and project delivery.
Essential Requirements:
• Ability to learn new tools, languages, and operating systems with some training and on-the-job experience.
• Experience in software development, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design concepts for delivering and maintaining software products.
• Proficiency in Java programming and experience with Java frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience with source control systems and continuous integration tools (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with Agile collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience with Web Services technologies including REST and SOAP.
Desirable Requirements:
• 2-6 years of experience with strong Java programming skills.
• Experience developing microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with database technologies (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate uncertain situations.
• Highly motivated and a team player.
• Nice to have: Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS).
• Nice to have: Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments.
