About the Team
The User Applications Team at Protex AI is dedicated to developing comprehensive solutions that span both frontend and backend technologies. As part of the Engineering team, we embrace state-of-the-art software development practices and utilize a diverse range of technologies to build scalable, efficient, and user-friendly applications. Our collaborative environment fosters innovation, enabling every team member to contribute to solutions that enhance workplace safety and operational efficiency globally.
What You'll Need:

Expertise in Modern JavaScript (ES6+): You’re comfortable with object-oriented JavaScript (OOJS) principles and design patterns. You write clean, modular, and maintainable code with a focus on scalability.

Deep Experience with Frontend Frameworks: You have extensive experience building dynamic, user-centric applications using React and Vue.js.

Advanced UI Concepts & Design: You understand the latest UI/UX principles and enjoy creating fluid, interactive, and performant interfaces with complex states. You’re adept at optimising CSS and SCSS to create scalable, responsive, and maintainable styles.

State Management: You’re proficient with state management libraries like Redux and Vuex, and know how to structure state efficiently in large applications.

Component-Driven Architecture: You’re a pro at designing reusable, modular UI components and enjoy using patterns like Atomic Design to ensure maintainable and scalable front-end systems.

Building Scalable Applications: You have hands-on experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs and are comfortable connecting frontend systems with backend services.

Testing and Automation: You’re passionate about code quality and ensure reliability through unit testing with tools like Jest, and end-to-end testing using Cypress, Playwright etc.

CSS Preprocessors: You have advanced skills in SCSS, understanding its features like variables, mixins, and nesting to keep your stylesheets efficient and easy to maintain.

Cloud Deployment Experience: You’re comfortable with AWS services like Amplify for deploying frontend applications and managing cloud environments.

5+ years of professional experience in frontend engineering with a strong focus on complex, production-level systems.

A BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
Nice to Have:

Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, or containerised applications (Docker, Kubernetes).

Understanding of performance optimisation techniques in web applications (e.g., lazy loading, code splitting, image optimization).

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes to streamline deployment.

Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira.
