The Software Design Engineer is responsible for the design and implementation of software for the Windows platform as part of an agile team. This includes development of Windows applications in C# and C++ on the .NET platform, as well as backend and frontend development in TypeScript and Angular.

This position reports to the Director of R&D and is part of the R&D Department located in Salzburg and will be an on-site role.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Develop software for high performance, multi-threaded software products in an Agile-based software development group.
• Design and develop software for instrumentation products
• Implement and enhance automated tests as part of software development
• Actively work with multi-disciplinary teams to help develop requirements and specifications.
• Work closely with software test team to identify and resolve quality issues throughout development.
• Understand requirements of a validation compliant design and development environment, required for regulated market customers.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Minimum of 3 years working in an R&D organization as software developer
• Experience in C#, Java or similar OO languages
• Experience with distributed network based software architectures
• Demonstrated ability to create and troubleshoot complex multithreaded systems
• Experience in agile software development

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Experience in TypeScript and a front end framework such as Angular or React
• Experience in C or C++
• Experience working in a regulated environment

The collective agreement for employees in the electrical and electronics industry applies to the advertised position, the minimum basic salary is € 3.775,27,-- gross per month with willingness to overpay the collective agreement. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
