This Position reports to:

Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to ABB’s success with technology, software, product, and system development in software and solution development for industrial automation. Focuses on innovative tools for control system design and code conversion. Acts as a key contact for product-related issues and supports ongoing maintenance and development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as a part of a Research & Development (R&D) team.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Develops software tools for code conversion between generations of industrial control systems.

• Designs efficient solutions for next-generation control system engineering.

• Applies solid expertise in .NET technologies and/or PLC systems (ABB or others).

• Solves complex industrial problems independently and mentors junior team members.

• Maintains recognized expertise by integrating the latest technologies and methodologies into daily work.

• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions for modern industry.

• Supports product lifecycle activities including maintenance, updates, and enhancements.

Qualifications for the role

• Experience with PLC control systems (ABB or similar) and/or .NET development.

• Willingness to learn and explore the intersection of software engineering and industrial automation.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
