The role is in the Fusion Electronics organization within the Product Design and Manufacturing Solutions division. This team defines and builds the ECAD solution within the Fusion family of products. We are looking for a passionate Software engineer to join our Pune-based scrum team with a strong background in Electronics, particularly in PCB Design and Manufacturing workflows.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in electronics engineering processes along with exposure to software development using C++ or related programming languages. This role is ideal for candidates passionate about bridging Electronics and Software, and who are excited to work on next-generation engineering solutions leveraging AI-assisted development tools and modern automation technologies.
Responsibilities
Understand and translate PCB design, manufacturing, and electronics engineering requirements into scalable software features
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software solutions for electronics and PCB design/manufacturing workflows
Contribute to software development using C++, Python, or related technologies
Work with engineering teams to improve automation, usability, and workflow efficiency
Participate in debugging, testing, validation, and performance optimization of software applications
Explore and leverage AI-powered development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar technologies to improve development productivity and innovation
Stay updated with emerging trends in Electronics CAD, PCB manufacturing, and AI-assisted engineering software development
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
3–5 years of relevant industry experience
Strong understanding of PCB design and manufacturing processes
Hands-on experience with Electronics/EDA workflows and tools
Working knowledge of C++ or related programming languages
Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in CAD/EDA or engineering software environments
Exposure to scripting languages such as Python
Familiarity with AI-based software development tools like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude, or similar
Understanding of software architecture and modern development practices
