About the Role
We are seeking a DevOps Automation Engineer with strong expertise in Python-based automation and CI/CD/CT pipeline implementation using GitLab CI. The role focuses on building, migrating, and maintaining robust automation platforms that improve software delivery efficiency, quality, and reliability. Exposure to cloud platforms, automotive domain, and AI-driven development will be an added advantage.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD/CT pipelines using GitLab CI.
- Develop and enhance Python-based automation for build, test, and deployment workflows.
- Integrate project-specific tools and test infrastructure into CI/CD/CT environments.
- Migrate and manage existing pipelines and related automation to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Ensure security, stability, and performance of automation platforms and supporting systems.
- Collaborate closely with development, test, and operations teams to streamline the end-to-end software development lifecycle.
- Drive continuous improvement through monitoring, troubleshooting, and DevOps best practices.
What You Need to Be Successful
- Strong hands-on experience with Python for automation (mandatory).
- CI/CD/CT experience using GitLab CI (mandatory).
- Proven experience integrating project-specific tools into CI/CD/CT pipelines.
- Good understanding of DevOps principles, automation frameworks, and pipeline governance.
- Experience in managing and improving existing CI/CD pipelines in complex environments.
- Around 5 years of relevant hands-on experience in DevOps and automation roles.
Bonus Points If You Have
- Experience with cloud infrastructure or platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, etc.).
- Automotive domain experience.
- Exposure to automotive development and testing tools such as:
- CANOe
- DaVinci Configurator
- Similar validation, ECU, or testing tools
- Exposure to AI-driven development, intelligent automation, or data-driven DevOps practices.
What Makes You Eligible
- 3 to 6 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years of relevant DevOps automation experience.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in CI/CD environments.
- Ability to work across teams and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience working in enterprise-scale projects, preferably in automotive or embedded software domains.
