We are growing and are looking for a Backend Engineer to join our mission in developing life saving software!

Job Description:

Viz.ai is growing fast, and as we grow we scale both in the number of patients we treat and in the number of products we have in our portfolio. Your mission will be to build self-serve applications, apis and the new data infra pipeline that will serve both Viz customers and internal users to manage.

You will:

Your responsibilities will span from design to implementation of a complex micro services based system that include implementing high scale pipelines and restful apis. You will collaborate with various teams, including AI, data, product and analytics teams, in order to deliver the best code using high end technologies. Further, you will treat AI as a core part of your workflow, using tools like ChatGPT to enhance productivity and output.

Tech stack:

We are running on AWS with Python as the main programming language for the backend, and React with typescript in the frontend. We are using various technologies such as S3, DynamoDB, Postgres, RabbitMQ, Docker, Redis, Prometheus and others. We are always open to new technologies and tools that will help us to do our job even better.

• You have successfully completed development tasks on time on your own, and collaborated with peers to drive cross-team projects to completion, receiving positive feedback for your contributions and teamwork.
• You’ve provided thoughtful, actionable feedback in code reviews, and your mentorship has helped teammates improve the quality of their code.
• You’ve proactively proposed and led the adoption of new tools, frameworks, or practices that improved team efficiency or product quality, and demonstrated a consistent curiosity and eagerness to learn.
• You’ve taken initiative to identify and solve problems without being prompted, contributed to a positive team culture, and been recognized by peers as someone who elevates the team’s performance through your energy and attitude.

Requirements:

• 2-5 years of professional experience as a software engineer building systems.
• Familiarity with service-oriented architecture (SOA) concepts and principles.
• Good grasp of software design principles: Ability to understand requirements and contribute to the implementation of software solutions. 
• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science or in a similar field. 
• Proficiency in one or more relevant programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C++, JavaScript). 
• Experience working with cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) (advantage).
• A team player with a strong can-do mentality.

We are located in San Francisco and Tel Aviv - this position is based in Tel Aviv.

Our office in Tel-Aviv is located in Menachem Begin 150, within walking distance of Arlozorov and Ha'Shalom train stations.
