Software Engineer / Computer Science Internship (Test & Engineering Departments)Key Responsibilities

Analyse and improve test processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and robustness across engineering workflows.
Support automation initiatives, including developing scripts, digital tools, and interactive dashboards for real‑time monitoring and reporting.
Collect, clean, and analyse test data to uncover process insights and optimization opportunities.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, test, and digitalization teams to drive continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 transformation projects.
Participate in automation/digitalization solution design, contributing ideas from concept through implementation.
Document workflows, technical procedures, and project outcomes to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
Explore and evaluate new technologies, tools, or frameworks that could enhance test engineering capabilities (e.g., ML-based test prediction, intelligent automation, etc.).

Requirements

Degree student in Computer Science, Mechatronics, IT, Software Engineering, or related technical fields.
Genuine interest in automation, data analytics, and digital engineering tools, especially in a real industrial environment.
Basic programming familiarity (Python, VBA, SQL, or similar). Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau) is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with curiosity to experiment and learn.
Good communication and teamwork abilities, able to work with engineers from diverse technical backgrounds.
Ability to work on-site in Penang (Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan).
