Dremio is looking for exceptional software engineers to join our team. You’ll be a part of a highly technical team building core experiences on the Dremio stack. Your contributions will help us deliver on our vision to build an autonomous data platform for analytics and AI.
What you'll be doing- Contribute to the software development cycle from inception, design, development, testing and deployment
- Actively participate in code and design reviews to maintain exceptional quality and deepen your understanding of the system architecture and implementation
- Collaborate with product managers, support, solution architects, etc on new feature requests and updates to existing design
- Work with open source projects from the Apache Foundation, mainly the Arrow ecosystem
- Helping grow the team by participating in recruiting, mentoring and developing best practices
- Work with customers directly and client tools partners like BI tools (e.g. Tableau and PowerBI)
- B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or in a related technical field
- 5+ year of industry experience
- Fluency in Java, C++ or another modern language
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, multi-threaded and asynchronous patterns and their applications towards developing scalable systems
- Passion for quality, zero downtime upgrades, availability, resiliency, and uptime of the platform
- Experience developing scalable distributed systems and deploying, scaling, and managing microservices
- Working knowledge of SQL language
- Hands-on experience with databases, distributed systems and highly available services
- Experience working on client side libraries/application
- Familiarity with gRPC, Arrow, or Arrow Flight
- Contributions to open source projects
Workplace Wednesdays - to break down silos, build relationships and improve cross-team communication. Lunch catering / meal credits provided in the office and local socials align to Workplace Wednesdays. In general, Dremio will remain a hybrid work environment. We will not be implementing a 100% (5 days a week) return to office policy for all roles.
