A vacancy for a Software Engineer in Cabin Management has arisen within the Engineering Team at  Airbus India in Bangalore. Come join our team and help us build the next generation cabin solutions.

Airbus Cabin Electronics Engineering

We at Airbus Cabin Electronics Engineering are responsible for the engineering, manufacturing and support of the cabin management and connectivity solutions for the Airbus aircraft programs. Our teams are located in the city of Buxtehude (Germany) and at Airbus India in Bengaluru. The new position is within the cabin software engineering team, responsible for developing and supporting high quality software products, satisfying customer needs for operating aircraft safely, securely, efficiently and contributing to an optimal crew and passenger comfort.

Your responsibilities

As Software Engineer you will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the software products for our cabin management. You will work in a dynamic and international business environment where your proven experience, expertise and knowledge directly impacts day-to-day business operations.

  • You will define software requirements and designs based on the system specification

  • You will create, test and integrate software components

  • You will create test cases and procedures(HLT, LLT).

  • You will create the software lifecycle documentation.

  • You will do the configuration and release management for software artefacts.

  • You will contribute to the continuous improvement of the team and software development.

You will be part of an agile development team and collaborate on a daily basis with colleagues at other Airbus sites such as Buxtehude and Hamburg, which will also require travelling on occasions.

What do you bring?

  • You hold a university degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or comparable.

  • You have at least 8-11 years´ experience in software development and integration, using common programming languages (embedded C) for bare-machine or real-time operating systems, and hardware-related software components and drivers (e.g. CAN)

  • Your experience preferably includes model-based software development tools (e.g. SCADE) and modelling languages (UML/SysML).

  • You already bring experiences with Agile and DevOps development practices and tools (e.g Jira, Github, Jenkins).

  • Ideally, you have a good understanding of the DO 178 B/C lifecycle and safety critical software.

  • You have good communication skills in English.
