Position Overview
Join the Reality Capture Product Line Group in Krakow and begin building technologies that connect the physical and digital worlds.
Our team transforms real-world data — including 3D laser scans, drone imagery, and photogrammetry — into intelligent digital models used across architecture, engineering, construction, and infrastructure. We work with point clouds, mesh generation, feature extraction, and integration with Autodesk platforms such as Revit, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
As a Software Development Engineer, you will contribute to the development of software features across desktop and cloud applications. You will work closely with experienced engineers to build, test, and improve components that support reality capture and BIM workflows.
This role is ideal for an early-career engineer looking to grow skills in C++, C#, 3D data processing, and large-scale commercial software development.
The team will work in a hybrid working model from our office in Krakow, Poland.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Support
- Implement well-defined features and bug fixes under guidance.
- Contribute to desktop and/or cloud-based applications using C++.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Develop and maintain unit tests to ensure code reliability.
- Assist in debugging and resolving software defects.
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with senior engineers to understand system architecture and design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback.
- Contribute to team discussions and Agile/Scrum ceremonies.
- Use tools such as Git, JIRA, and CI/CD pipelines to support team workflows.
- Continuously learn best practices in software engineering, testing, and performance optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 1–3 years of software development experience (including internships or strong academic projects).
- Proficiency in C++ programming language.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in English.
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to desktop application development (Qt, .NET, WPF).
- Interest in 3D data, geometry, graphics, or visualization.
- Basic proficiency in C# programming language.
- Basic understanding of linear algebra, coordinate systems, or geometry concepts.
- Academic or project experience related to CAD, visualization, or spatial data.
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Exposure to AI-powered development assistants like Github Copilot, etc.
