What you’ll be doing
As a Software Engineer, Back End Developer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of digital payments by building scalable and reliable systems. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
Design and develop systems – By building, enhancing, and deploying scalable back-end systems, primarily using Java, and experimenting with various technologies to find the best solutions for our platform.
Identify user needs – By leveraging analytical skills to understand user requirements and ensure the back-end solutions are both effective and user-friendly for the overall product experience.
Build and enhance products – By helping to add new features to existing products through robust back-end development and contributing to the continuous improvement of Satispay's offerings.
Drive impact – By playing a vital role in simplifying payments and improving accessibility through efficient and scalable back-end systems, directly contributing to Satispay's mission and positively impacting our users across Europe.
Collaborate with teams – By working hand-in-hand with various teams (like Product and Engineering) to develop and deliver features that meet the needs of our users through seamless and efficient back-end integration.

Who we’re looking for
We need a problem-solver who loves teamwork and gets things done. If you're curious and ready for real ownership, you'll fit in! Does this sound like you?
Relevant educational background – With a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong theoretical foundation for your work.
Backend development experience – With 4+ years of experience in backend development, preferably with microservices infrastructure and Agile methodologies, to build efficient and scalable solutions.
Programming language proficiency – With deep experience working with Java to build robust and efficient back-end systems that power our platform.
Cloud platform understanding – With a strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS experience is a plus) for deploying and managing scalable applications in a cloud-based environment.
Communication skills – With excellent structured and convincing communication skills, adaptable to build trust positively and professionally with various stakeholders across different teams within the organization.
