Software Engineer (Full-Stack)

CorePlan was born in Perth, Western Australia, and has since gone global. With another office in Vancouver and a team across 12 countries, we support customers around the world. Our cloud-native platform replaces legacy systems and spreadsheets with one intuitive, integrated tool that helps mining teams and their contractors plan, run and track their drilling programs.

As a Software Engineer at CorePlan, you'll build features that customers rely on every day, from the user interface through to the APIs behind it. You'll work closely with Product Managers and Designers to turn real customer problems into polished software.

• Design, build and ship polished features end-to-end, from intuitive UIs to robust API logic.

• Work across frontend and backend services with product managers, UX/UI Designers and other teams to keep requirements clear and customers happy.

• Improve our tooling, CI/CD pipelines and developer experience.

• Champion technical excellence, performance and strong code review, including design reviews with Senior Engineers and architects.

• Take part in agile planning and estimation, and present your design changes in regular review sessions.

• Resolve production issues and help teammates troubleshoot.

• Continuously learn and stay updated with related technologies and best practices.
  

• 4+ years of experience building and scaling multi-tenant SaaS products in production.

• Experience with TypeScript, Python, React or similar modern programming languages and frameworks that power the web.

• Deep understanding of API design, relational database architecture (PostgreSQL or similar), and cloud services (AWS preferred).

• Comfortable using AI tools to speed up coding, debugging and everyday workflows.

• A proactive, engineering-first mindset with genuine curiosity for solving complex technical problems at scale.

• A collaborative, team-first approach and a passion for building great product experiences.

• Backend: NestJS (Node.js), Django (Python), TypeScript, PostgreSQL, AWS

• Frontend: Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS

• Mobile: React Native

• Infrastructure & Tools: AWS, Docker, CI/CD, GitHub

You will work on initiatives such as:

• Scaling a multi-tenant platform so every new enterprise customer gets a fast, secure and reliable experience.

• Building real-time APIs and workflows that turn complex operational data into live, actionable insight.

• Evolving our services for resilience and observability as customer workflows grow in depth and volume.

• Keeping field teams productive with offline-first sync between edge devices and the cloud.

• Solving hard data problems at scale, from query performance and indexing to caching for large, fast-growing datasets.

• Impact & Autonomy: You own what you build, from architecture choices to production releases, and you see the impact on real customers.
