Software Engineer Autosar
Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver high performing and functionally safe software systems.
- Write and test highly optimized and state of the art software code.
- Identify, investigate and fix software and system issues by understanding the source of the issues as well as impacts across all systems and teams.
- Participate in all aspects of agile scrum software development and contribute to various activities to ensure team alignment and best practices (e.g., project planning, design specs, system flow diagrams, documentation, test plan/cases/tools)
- Provide ongoing support to ensure system success
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Position is hybrid with a minimum of 3 days in Pleasanton office
Essential Skills & Experience Requirements (must have):
- 5+ years hands-on programming experience in embedded systems with C++11 or C++14 or C++17 and Python with Linux or RTOS
- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing AUTOSAR compliant Software
- In-depth knowledge of AUTOSAR stack Classic/Adaptive and proficiency with AUTOSAR configuration tools
- Experience with safety critical software design and development in Automotive (e.g. ISO26262, A-SPICE, MISRA C++)
- Experience with AUTOSAR configuration/authoring Tools
- Flexibility to work across all layers of the stack from Device Drivers to software components
- Bachelor or Masters of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Ability to understand complex technical systems and come up to speed quickly on new sensing modalities.
- Ability to adapt, operate, and flourish under ambiguity
Preferred Skills & Experience (nice to have):
- Experience with different platforms: QNX, FreeRTOS, RedHat, any other embedded Linux
- Experience with CAN-FD and/or Automotive Ethernet; UDS, DOIP, Some/IP, or ProtoBuf
- Basic knowledge of automotive cyber security controls, ISO SAE 21434
- Experience with board bring-up and embedded systems optimization
- Expertise in interpreting schematics and data sheets
- Prior experience in developing and delivering automotive products to market
- Advanced skills in on-chip debugging and hardware-software troubleshooting
- Experience with software development tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and JIRA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced and demanding start-up experience
Salary Range 135K-170K annually
