Position Overview:
As an Entry-Level Software Engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our cutting-edge technology solutions that power Visa's core business. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers, contributing to projects that enhance the efficiency and security of electronic payments.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and Maintain Software: Assist in the design, coding, and testing of applications that support Visa's payment processing systems.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and senior engineers, to gather requirements and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Support VisaNet: Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of VisaNet, our fast and secure network for electronic payments.
- Participate in Agile Development: Engage in agile practices, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives, to foster a collaborative team environment.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree, OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent college graduates with an undergraduate/masters degree looking to start working in 2024
- Pursuing a Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Computer applications and its related field
- Proficiency in at least one programming language or technology including, but not limited, to Java, C/C++, C#, .NET, python, Javascript, HTML, CSS and Objective-C.
- The ability to take on challenges and address problems head-on
- Highly driven and resourceful
- Strong ability to collaborate
Additional Information
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 79,000.00 to 111,700.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
