In this role, you will work as a senior engineer to develop Cisco's IIoT management strategy, prioritizing a streamlined user experience for network and security management to help customers effectively manage their critical industrial networks. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of various features that integrate ruggedized devices, sensors, applications, and networking equipment to collect, monitor, and analyze industrial operational data. Your work will drive innovation to improve operational efficiency, safety, and security in industrial environments by leveraging Cisco's IIoT technologies and industry best practices.

The Device Management team is a group of high energy, customer focused engineers who bring diverse perspectives and experiences to bear on the toughest engineering challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participating in the full software development lifecycle including feature grooming, design and implementation.
- Designing, developing and maintaining complex software systems with a focus on quality, scalability and performance.
- Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior engineers.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading technical projects.
- Applying agile methodologies to improve software development processes.
- Debugging and troubleshooting software issues to ensure reliability and performance.
- Staying current with emerging technologies and integrating AI-driven tools to enhance productivity and innovation.
- Embracing AI-assisted automation for code generation, testing, and optimization while maintaining human oversight for creativity, problem-solving, and mentorship.
Required Skills and Experience:
- MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 9+ years of software development experience.
- Full stack development experience with frontend technologies such as ReactJS, and backend technologies including Java.
Experience in Angular will be plus. - Familiarity with database modeling and technologies like MongoDB, Cassandra, Oracle, and Graph Databases.
- Experience of working on network management platforms encompassing embedded management, scalability, machine learning, policy and access control, and cloud technologies.
- Working experience with AI-First development approach with use of different available AI tools.
- Knowledge of industrial protocols, real-time data processing, and edge computing is advantageous.
- Passion for continuous learning and self-improvement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Experience working in an agile development environment.
