The Role
Netflix is the world's leading streaming entertainment service with 230M+ paid memberships in over 190 countries enjoying TV series, documentaries and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages. The Consumer Engineering team builds the industry-leading Netflix iOS, Android, and TV apps. We work with our design and product partners to rapidly experiment with new product ideas. About the Role- Collaborate with developers and product teams to build delightful, performant, and accessible user experiences.
- Contribute to product features, core infrastructure and A/B tests using advanced UIKit, Core Animation, and Foundation APIs in Swift.
- Architect maintainable, performant iOS client code with effective documentation that can be leveraged by other developers.
- Write automated tests with XCTest and XCUITest frameworks to deliver high quality code.
- Partner closely with product management to scope projects, with designers to refine UI specifications or collaborate with partner engineering teams on shared infrastructure.
- Curious about a broad range of new or unfamiliar technologies, the consumer base, and product vision.
- Seek different perspectives, feedback, and relevant information to continuously grow and improve.
- Maintain strong relationships with cross-functional teams through clear communication.
- Take a thoughtful, practical approach to problem solving that considers tradeoffs and avoids over-engineering.
- Comfortable asking questions and seeking knowledge in unfamiliar or ambiguous situations.
