Influence the technical roadmap for multiple teams around a common goal by creating/maintaining/contributing to various technology standards. Collaborate with other disciplines to create/iterate web applications. Represent the value of functional programming to the wider engineering organization, emphasize the use of pure functions/immutable data structures/declarative programming style to handle complex data structures/manage side effects/provide high-level abstractions for concurrency and parallelism. Own software by helping lead projects from ideation to execution and maintenance. Own legacy PureScript applications in their entirety, from iteration architecture to coding/deploying changes/bug fixes. Participate in design and code reviews.
Requires: Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or closely related, and 1 year in the job offered or in software development; or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or closely related, and five years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in the field and 1 year in the job offered or in software development. Requires 4 years of experience with PureScript, open source PureScript projects, Random Processes and Signal Processing (Time Series Analysis), and with one of each of the following: 1. Languages/Frameworks: Javascript, Node.JS, Python, and/or React (and React eco-system) 2. Data Tools: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch, Apache Kafka, DynamoDB, and/or Redis, and 3. Infrastructure Tools: Docker, AWS, Kubernetes, and/or Terraform. Salary: $179,982
