Software Engineer 4 (Hybrid) - Linux/Shell/Python/Java/Spark/Jupyter/JSON/Gitlab/Ansible/Docker

Captivation Software is looking for a senior level software engineer who will be a DevOps engineer and shall be responsible for software integration efforts and the development of framework solutions. In this role, the DevOps Software Engineer must be detailed oriented, have strong organizational skills, and excellent troubleshooting skills to include the identification and resolution of issues, problems, and trouble tickets related to the same.
RequirementsSecurity Clearance:
- Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus ten (10) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus twelve (12) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
- Fourteen (14) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
- Experience using the Linux CL
- Experience writing scripts using Shell/Bash/Python
- Linux administration experience including software integration, service management, configuration management, and routine sustainment operations related to provisioning, storage, and networking.
- Experience installing, configuring, and supporting COTS/GOTS/FOSS software, libraries, and packages in a Linux environment
- Extensive software development experience with Python and Java
- Experience with Big Data streaming platforms including Spark
- Experience with deploying and managing Jupyter Notebook environments
- Experience with data parsing/transformation technologies including JSON, XMl, CSV, and Parquet formats
- Experience with stream/batch Big Data processing and analytic frameworks
- Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI
- Experience with IaC (Infrastructure as Code) principles and automation infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker
- Demonstrated experience using system monitoring tools such as Prometheus/Grafana
- Experience with Git for source code management, branching strategies, and team collaboration
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)

- Annual Salary: $130,000 - $270,000 (Depends on the Years of Experience)
- Up to 20% 401k contribution (No Matching Required and Vested from Day 1)
