Job Description
Come join the AI Search team and work with a talented group of engineers building out next generation technologies in the ServiceNow cloud platform. This team is responsible for the Gen AI, actionable search functionality and machine learning-based relevancy that help make ServiceNow a powerful platform used by many Fortune 500 companies. You will have the opportunity to work on exciting technologies such as artificial intelligence, information retrieval, RESTful APIs, machine learning-based relevancy, generative AI applications, word-embeddings, and developer tools & IDE.
The AI Search UX team builds the visual elements of all the AI Search features and functionality. Our work spans from crafting search-specific Seismic components to analytics dashboards which help customers understand how search is being used and is adding value to their ServiceNow instances.
What you get to do in this role:

• Combining the search and Virtual Agent experiences in a new "Full Page Experience" feature which will provide users with a single place to find answers and get the information and help they need, all powered by Generative AI.
• Enhancements to the search components used in Next Experience, Service Portal, VA, Mobile, NowSupport, BT1, SURF and more.
• New releases of our store apps: Advanced AI Search Management Tools, AI Search for Next Experience, Now Assist for Search.

Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:

• Graduating May/June 2025 with a Master's or Bachelor's Degree in CS or a related field
• Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving. This may include using AI-powered tools, automating workflows, analyzing AI-driven insights, or exploring AI's potential impact on the function or industry.
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Knowledge of web components, HTML/CSS, XML, REST, GraphQL, AJAX, JSON, or related
• Experience with any of the modern UI frameworks like Angular, React, Node or Bootstrap
• Analytical and design skills
• Working knowledge and ability to use tools to assist with daily tasks (IDE, debugger, build tools, source control, ServiceNow instances, profilers, system administration/Unix tools)
