Overview of the roleWe are looking for a Software Engineer II to support our AI platform and microservices ecosystem.
The role involves building RESTful APIs using Python and .NET Core, contributing to AI-enabled workflows (RAG, LLM integrations), and working closely with frontend and platform teams under the guidance of Lead AI Engineers.
RequirementsWhat you’ll do
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI / Flask / Django) and .NET Core (ASP.NET Core).
- Build backend services within a microservices architecture.
- Contribute to AI-enabled services, including:
- LLM integrations
- RAG pipelines (document ingestion, retrieval, response orchestration)
- Integrate services with Azure AI / Azure OpenAI.
- Write unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews.
- Debug, optimize, and support production systems.
- Strong experience in Python and/or .NET Core
- Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs using ASP.NET Core and Python frameworks
- Solid understanding of HTTP, REST principles, authentication (JWT / OAuth)
- Experience working with microservices
- Exposure to AI / LLM services (Azure OpenAI, OpenAI APIs, or similar)
- Basic understanding of:
- embeddings
- vector search
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
- Working knowledge of any modern frontend framework:
- React / Angular / Vue
- Ability to consume APIs and debug UI–backend interactions
- Exposure to Azure cloud services
- Experience with Kubernetes/Docker/containers
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
- Understanding of AI service performance, latency, and cost considerations
