DevSecOps Engineer - Graduate

Position Summary

Thales is looking for a Software DevSecOps Engineer - Graduate to join our engineering team and support the development of our next generation of In-Flight Entertainment (IFE) products. In this role, you will independently perform assigned software development and DevSecOps activities of limited to moderate complexity, contributing to the design, development, automation, testing, and secure delivery of software components throughout the software development lifecycle. You will also perform research, implementation, testing, documentation, deployment, and ongoing support of new and existing software products.
In this position, you will also apply foundational knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, modern development practices, and Agile/SCRUM methodologies while building expertise in DevSecOps tooling, automation, and secure development workflows. You will be expected to demonstrate an eagerness to learn, accountability for commitments, collaboration with team members and stakeholders, and adaptability within a fast-paced engineering environment. This role provides an opportunity to develop technical depth and grow into increasingly complex DevSecOps responsibilities within the organization.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Design, develop, test, and document software components and automation tools in accordance with established engineering standards and requirements, including technical documentation for systems, features, components, and DevSecOps processes.
  • Perform unit and automated testing; identify and resolve software defects and technical issues to support high-quality, secure product releases.
  • Support and maintain existing applications, pipelines, and operational processes by troubleshooting issues, implementing enhancements, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain database interactions, data-access components, scalable web services, and APIs used for data tracking, integration, and system visibility in accordance with established technical requirements and design standards.
  • Configure, install, and deploy software into development, testing, and production environments following established deployment and change-management practices; apply established security, data privacy, and secure-development practices and identify and escalate potential risks or vulnerabilities as appropriate.Independently manage assigned development and DevSecOps tasks of limited to moderate complexity, collaborating with software engineers, product owners, and other cross-functional stakeholders to clarify technical requirements, resolve issues, and support successful delivery, while seeking guidance when issues or requirements extend beyond established practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
  • Knowledge of C++ or similar object-oriented languages, as well as scripting languages such as Python, Go, Bash, or similar.
  • Knowledge of database management and interaction, including SQL or NoSQL.
  • Ability to apply problem-solving skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn new tools, technologies, processes, and software engineering and DevSecOps best practices.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with team members, product owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements and expectations.
  • Understanding of and willingness to participate in Agile/SCRUM development practices.

Total Target Cash (TTC) 86,365.50 - 143,942.50 USD Annual
