Duties & Responsibilities:
- Receive, review, and accept project scope of work from the customer. Protects project scope and effectively manages change requests.
- Apply sound software engineering processes including iterative development, unit testing, source code control, inspections, and reviews.
- Coordinates project activities and schedules and prioritizes features and tasks.
- Act as main technical and managerial point of contact
- Communicates relevant project information to including risks, business opportunities, and status reports.
- Responsible for managing project team including assigning and releasing team members, giving appropriate feedback (positive and constructive), providing high-level technical guidance, and coordinating, following up, and assigning tasks.
- Approve of the design specifications and project architecture
- Responsible for review and sign-off for functional and technical specifications, monitoring deliverables vs. specifications, and providing needed corrective actions.
- Identify, resolve, and/or escalate issues (including delivery) in a timely manner and provides constructive suggestions for improvements.
- Track, audit, and review team project schedule and progress on daily basis
- Motivate the team while successfully delivering high-quality projects on-time.
- 9+ years of experience in software engineering
- Worked as a Lead Software Engineer or Lead Quality Engineer at least for 2 years
- 2+ years of hands-on technical leadership of cross-functional teams.
- Hands on Experience with software architecture and Agile methodologies.
- Understand best practices and able to challenge others in Code review, Unit, Integration and Automation testing.
- Able to work with DevOps tools like CI/CD, Source control, Docker and Kubernetes (k8s).
- Able to work with backend technologies (e.g., .NET Core) and support his team when needed.
- Able to work with frontend technologies (e.g., Angular, React) and support his team when needed.
- Have experience working with Cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
- Self-Learner while keeping an eye for any changes in the software development trends.
- Strong client engagement as this role requires constant interactions with our US Clients.
- Strong leadership skills with background in managing teams of developers, tester and other roles.
- Ability to plan ahead by providing risk management scenario and thinking outside of the box for any issues that may arise.
- Able to correctly identify team capabilities and assign project objective to reach a successful outcome.
- Able to assist and provide training his team on the concept of software design especially design patterns and solid principal.
