SOTI offers college students hands-on experience working with modern technology, Agile teams, and real-world software projects.

Software Developer Intern: Gain experience developing, testing, and improving applications using technologies such as C#, .NET, SQL, JavaScript, and web APIs.

Quality Assurance Intern: Help test web and mobile applications, create test cases, identify bugs, and work with developers and product teams to ensure software quality.

Ideal candidates: Students studying Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or a related field who have strong problem-solving skills and a passion for technology and learning.

Software Developer Intern

Responsibilities:

• Develop innovative solutions to tackle big industry problems
• Write well designed, scalable, reliable, testable and reusable code by using best software development practices, clean code and solid principles
• Provide technical guidance on the research and development of new products and services
• Contribute towards the entire development lifecycle of analysis, design, implementation and test
• Detect, report, investigate, and fix product defects
• Automation, including writing unit and integration tests
• Optimize and apply best practices
• Maintain high standards of quality for code, technical documentation, and deliverables
• Provide leadership on implementation of web solutions in C# and .NET
• Collaborate on projects with an all-star team comprised of varying skillsets through code reviews and design discussions
• Participate in brainstorming and idea generation activities
• Stay up-to-date with advanced technologies in order to be able to provide the best solutions for new projects

Qualifications:

• Exposure to developing with C# .NET programming language.
• Good understanding of software design patterns.
• Good understanding of data modelling and storage with well-known relational database (preferably SQL).
• Demonstrable versatility in multiple front-end and back-end technologies such as JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, AngularJS, NodeJS, REST APIs, JSON, WCF, Web API, Unity, LINQ.
• Experience (or strong interest) in agile methods such as Scrum/XP, Behaviour Driven Development, and Continuous Delivery.

Quality Assurance Specialist (Intern)

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and document application test scenarios and test cases based on software requirements and technical specifications for all SOTI’s product offerings.
• Create, implement and maintain test coverage for SOTI’s Web and Mobile applications.
• Work collaboratively  in an agile team with other QA Analysts, Developers, UX Designers, Product Managers and Scrum Masters
• Participate in the testing execution for each sprint (Agile) or testing phase.
• Analyze and document bugs and customer issues.
• Prioritize testing tasks, scenarios and test cases and track and report on testing activities.
• Conduct exploratory testing on SOTI's applications during development.
• Offer creative and innovative solutions to complex testing issues.
• Follow the overall QA process improvements to ensure consistency and standardization across product lines.
• Work in a collaborative, quality focused role in agile development teams to shape SOTI's product offerings.

Qualifications:

• You have strong problem solving abilities
• You are familiar with test strategies, planning and prioritizing test cases and execution
• You have good understanding of web/mobile applications, web services and databases, as well as the OSI model and computer networking principles (TCP/IP)
• You possess knowledge of the software development life cycle
• Some previous exposure to software testing is a definite plus
• You have great passion for modern technology
• You are eager to constantly learn and update your skills in our cross-platform environment, and you like to share knowledge with others
• You have excellent communication skills and you will be able to share and exchange ideas with your team members and management

Must Haves:

• You are a student enrolled in either IT, Computer Science or other relevant program.
