Job Title: Software Development Manager

Introduction: We are seeking an experienced Software Development Manager to lead our dynamic team in designing and developing a state-of-the-art cloud based SaaS application. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical acumen with hands-on experience in backend and frontend technologies and a proven track record of leading software development teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of software developers and QA engineers, skilled in Java, Python, React, and Node.js in the development of our SaaS application.
- Manage the entire software development lifecycle including planning, design, development, deployment, and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and operational teams to ensure that the software solution aligns with company goals, customer needs, and operational requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team, encouraging best practices in code health, testing, and maintainability.
- Review and approve proposed development releases and manage the release process.
- Monitor technology trends and ensure the team is integrating new technology into the application architecture as appropriate.
- Ensure the creation of scalable, maintainable, and reliable high-quality software.
- Support the professional development of team members through coaching, performance management, and goal setting.
- Handle day-to-day administrative tasks such as reporting, team performance evaluations, and recruitment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in software development and 5+ years in a leadership role managing technical teams.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, and familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as React and Node.js.
- Experience with cloud environments, preferably AWS, and understanding of SaaS application architecture.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- GIS experience will be a plus
- Demonstrated experience in the full software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead projects from concept to deployment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills capable of motivating and guiding a team of developers.
- Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and remote team member
