Detailed Role Overview
As a Software Development Manager for Route Optimizations, you will be deeply involved in managing teams develop Intelcom's route optimization and management systems. You will play a key role on evolving how Intelcom hundreds of thousands of packages into thousands of routes. You will play a key role in software development and strategic initiatives, overseeing projects that will allow scaling the software to reach Intelcom's ambitious growth targets. You will collaborate with various teams and stakeholders, contributing directly to the company's growth and product development. You will help continuously improve your team’s practices as well as the department’s software development standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead or contribute to key tasks or projects.
- Participate in architectural decisions and on the technical vision of the team.
- Manage specific duties such as project deadlines and team coordination.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.
- Ensure the successful execution of related activities.
- Contribute to the department's standardization efforts.
- Follow team member's objectives and conduct performance reviews
- Other duties as assigned, related to software development and team support.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of experience in software development.
- 5+ years of experience in managing software development teams.
- Strong ability at growing your employees.
- Experience in managing and prioritizing technical debt.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage tight deadlines and multiple projects.
- Experience with Software Development lifecycle metrics and ways to improve team velocity.
- Experience with many of the following technologies and concepts: React, Java, C#, AWS,Azure, Pulsar or other message brokers, Kubernetes, Datadog, Continuous Integration,Continuous Delivery, feature flags, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
