Autodesk's Developer Enablement(DE) organization is seeking a passionate Engineering Manager to join a team of diverse, smart, and driven engineers who are responsible for building shareable, reusable components that are consumed by most Autodesk desktop products. This people manager will lead a high performing scrum team of senior and junior engineers and collaborate across other teams and stakeholders to build code, infrastructure, and services that will have a direct and positive impact on millions of users of our products.
Responsibilities
Team Leadership & People Management
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers across backend, full-stack, and platform domains
Foster a high-performance engineering culture focused on collaboration, ownership, and continuous learning
Conduct regular performance reviews, career development planning, and technical mentoring
Support hiring efforts including technical interviews, onboarding, and team growth
Technical Leadership
Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight for backend services, full-stack applications, and distributed systems
Partner with Principal Engineers and Architects to align system architecture with long-term platform strategy
Ensure teams follow engineering best practices including automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and secure coding
Guide teams in building scalable systems
Promote the adoption of AI-assisted development tools and modern developer productivity practices
Delivery & Execution
Collaborate with Product Management and stakeholders to translate business requirements into engineering roadmaps and execution plans
Drive delivery of high-quality software through agile development practices
Ensure reliable production systems by driving operational excellence, monitoring, and incident management
Remove technical and organizational blockers to help teams deliver effectively
Platform, Data & AI Innovation
Enable teams to build data-driven and AI-enabled features that leverage modern data platforms and machine learning capabilities
Support development of data pipelines, analytics platforms, and AI-powered workflows
Encourage teams to integrate AI-driven tools for development, testing, and automation
Partner with data and platform teams to deliver scalable data and AI infrastructure
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
10+ years of software development experience, including 2–4 years in an engineering leadership or management role
Strong experience building scalable distributed systems and cloud-native applications
Hands-on expertise with C++, Node.js, TypeScript, and modern architectures

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location.
