Position Summary
This is a technical internship position designed to provide qualified students the opportunity to gain valuable, hands-on work experience in F5’s API security products. You will work with F5’s software engineers to undertake challenging assignments, learning new technologies, refining skills, and making meaningful contributions to the team.
As part of the XC API Security team, you will design and implement features for our API security products.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of microservices-based system.
- Collaborate with the XC API Security team to build scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions, tools and features.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and testing to maintain high-quality standards.
- Engage in discussions on improving system performance and security.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Basic knowledge of programming languages (experience with Golang is a plus).
- Basic understanding of HTTP.
- Basic understanding of APIs and how they function.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Passionate about software development, with a proactive attitude towards learning and taking on new challenges.
- Familiarity with Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture is an advantage
Qualifications
- 3rd- or 4th-year student working toward a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
The duration of the internship is 1,040 hours. The candidate must be available to start immediately and should be able to work a minimum of 20 hours per week, up to 100 hours per month.
