What does a successful Software Development Engineers in Test (SDET), Senior Consultant do at Fiserv?

We are seeking a dedicated Software Developer in Test to join our team at Fiserv. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of project strategies and requirements, both functional and non-functional, and play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products.

What you will do:

• Understand project strategy and requirements (both functional and non-functional)
• Recommend automation and non-functional tools to aid manual testing efforts
• Define automation coverage for work item under test 
• Drive technical conversations that bridge the gap between QA and Development groups
• Set up, rollout and maintain test automation frameworks for mobile, web, and back-end systems. 
• Enforce compliance on automation standards through review and approval of PRs
• Support in executing manual exploratory tests and document results in a Test Closure Report
• Report issues in JIRA for work item under test

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of experience with testing fundamentals, defect management, and their corresponding tools
• 5+ years of experience with programming languages and development tooling with Kotlin, Swift, C#, Typescript/Javascript, Android Studio, Xcode, Visual Studio, Jetpack Compose, Swift UI, orReact
• 5+ years of experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices, including the ability to design complex pipelines with Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, yaml
• Understanding of how production code works, including how it interacts with different components
• Set up, rollout and maintain test automation frameworks for mobile, web, and back-end systems with Espresso, XCTest, Junit, XUnit, Playwright, k6, pact
• Keep current with the constantly changing technology industry. A passion for testing, development, and design
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent military experience.

What would be great to have:

• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Expert in the usage of Pact Contract Testing
• Experience in testing financial applications

Salary Range

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
