About your role:

You will help build and improve the platform engineering capabilities that support secure, reliable software delivery across Fiserv. You will work with engineering and cross-functional teams to automate deployment workflows, strengthen continuous integration and continuous delivery practices, and improve operational efficiency. Your work will help enable scalable platform operations in a controlled, high-availability environment.

What you'll do:

  • Architect, build, and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines using GitLab and related automation tools to improve software delivery speed, consistency, and security.
  • Support automated application deployments using Kubernetes, Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS), Argo CD, Helm, and Terraform.
  • Develop automation scripts and tooling using Python, Bash, and Golang to improve platform operations and reduce manual effort.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather technical requirements, align platform capabilities to delivery needs, and support implementation planning.
  • Manage and prioritize work in an Agile environment while adapting to evolving requirements, delivery timelines, and platform needs.
  • Support integration and regression testing processes within Kubernetes-based environments to improve release quality and platform reliability.
  • Contribute to secure engineering practices by supporting pipeline controls, artifact management, and code quality validation.
  • Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.

Experience you'll need to have:

  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, site reliability engineering, or software engineering with a focus on continuous integration and continuous delivery automation.
  • 4+ years of experience designing, building, and managing secure CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
  • 4+ years of experience with Kubernetes automation and orchestration, including Argo CD, Helm, Terraform, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) environments such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS).
  • 4+ years of experience developing automation using Python, Bash, Golang, or similar scripting and programming languages.
  • 3+ years of experience using source control and repository management tools, including Git, Artifactory, and SonarQube, to support build, test, and release processes.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting integration testing and regression testing in Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education, related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Experience architecting complex GitLab CI/CD pipelines in enterprise environments.
  • Experience supporting zero-downtime database upgrades using Liquibase, Flyway, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in software as a service (SaaS) environments with compliance and security requirements.
  • Experience supporting platform engineering in financial services or other regulated industries.

How you'll work:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
