Position SummarySoftware Development Engineer

As a Software Development Engineer, you will help design, build, test, and enhance software solutions that support business innovation and operational excellence. This role is ideal for a problem-solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams, writing high-quality code, and contributing to scalable, reliable, and user-focused applications. You will play an important role in transforming ideas into impactful digital solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and system components.
• Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, and technical teams to define software requirements and functional specifications.
• Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code aligned with development standards and best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization efforts.
• Support application integration, system interoperability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to software architecture discussions and technical design decisions.
• Execute unit testing, integration testing, and validation activities to ensure solution quality and reliability.
• Identify and resolve technical issues in a timely manner while maintaining a strong focus on user experience and system performance.
• Work within Agile or similar development methodologies to deliver projects on schedule.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies, development tools, and engineering practices that can enhance team capabilities and business outcomes.
• Complete all assigned, mandatory training within the timeframe provided.
• Conduct and/or participate in regularly scheduled 1:1 meetings with your direct manager and/or direct reports.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in software development, application engineering, or a related technical role.
• proficiency in PHP and JavaScript programming languages, and good knowledge of some others such as C#, Java, Python, or similar.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), coding standards, and version control practices.
• Experience with databases (Transact-SQL), APIs, and system integration concepts
• Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or other iterative development methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to different audiences.
• Commitment to quality, continuous learning, and delivering business value through technology.
• Fluent in French with good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
