Your role
As a QA Automation Engineer (P3), you are a hands-on QA professional focused on test automation execution rather than framework architecture.
You will build and execute automated test cases using Playwright/Selenium with Java or Python, work across UI and API automation with a strong focus on reliability and coverage, and leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot) to accelerate test creation, debugging, and maintenance.
What you’ll do
- Write, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for UI workflows and API testing.
- Perform end-to-end testing across user journeys and applications.
- Participate in weekly regression testing cycles, including execution and validation of test results.
- Execute and own regression suites, ensuring:
- ~70–80% automation coverage for owned modules/features.
- High stability with minimal flaky failures and consistent pass rates.
- Analyze failures and identify defects with clear root cause insights.
- Use AI tools (“vibe coding”) to:
- Generate test cases and test data.
- Debug flaky tests.
- Improve test coverage and execution speed.
- Validate AI-driven features, including:
- Prompt/response validation.
- Expected output verification.
- Perform API testing using REST APIs and tools like Postman.
- Collaborate with developers to reproduce issues and verify fixes.
- Report bugs clearly with reproducible steps, logs, and supporting data.
- Contribute to automation execution within CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Own QA for specific features/modules (not just a shared pool), including:
- Test planning and test case design.
- Automation coverage and execution.
- Regression readiness and release validation.
- Act as the QA DRI (Directly Responsible Individual) for assigned areas.
- Ensure release readiness by:
- Signing off on regression quality for owned modules.
- Proactively highlighting risks, gaps, and quality trade-offs.
- Partner closely with engineering and product teams to drive end-to-end quality ownership.
What you’ll bring
- 5–7 years of experience in QA / Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- Java (preferred) or Python.
- Playwright or Selenium.
- Solid understanding of:
- UI and API testing.
- Test case design and execution.
- Functional and regression testing.
- Experience working with REST APIs.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
- Exposure to AI-assisted coding tools (or strong willingness to adopt them).
- Basic understanding of testing AI/LLM-driven features (good to have).
- Adaptability to work across diverse frameworks, tools, and programming languages as required.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with communication platforms, contact centers, or VoIP systems.
- Exposure to performance, load, or reliability testing, especially for AI-powered systems.
