Job Description:
The Role
insightsoftware is a global provider of comprehensive solutions for the Office of the CFO. As a Software Development Engineer in Test 2 on the Certent Disclosure Management (CDM) team, you will drive quality left by designing, building, and maintaining automated test infrastructure for our financial reporting solution. Working closely with development and DevOps, you will architect test automation frameworks and help ensure CDM ships reliable, high-quality releases to enterprise customers.
What You Will Do
- Work with development and DevOps to drive quality left across the CDM product.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test infrastructure and regression suites.
- Architect and extend test automation frameworks for web, desktop, API, and performance testing.
- Develop custom, reusable test automation libraries in C#.
- Build and maintain automated tests using Selenium and related tooling.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Support multiple testing efforts simultaneously and respond to technical queries from the team.
What You Bring
Core Skills
- Strong proficiency in C# for developing automated tests and test tooling.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and other test automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Ranorex).
- Experience designing and building test automation frameworks from scratch.
- Experience with CI/CD and source control tools (e.g., Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Git, Bitbucket).
- Proficiency designing, developing, and maintaining test cases and test suites.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum/Kanban development environment.
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline. (BTech)
- 4+ of automation development experience.
